YITH WooCommerce Wishlist - Premium Wordpress plugin!

This document covers the installation and use of this plugin and reveals answers to common problems and issues - I encourage you to read this document if you are experiencing any difficulties.

Getting started

To install this plugin you must have a working version of WordPress already installed. For information in regard to installing the WordPress platform, please see the WordPress Codex - http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress

Installation

Upload via ftp:

First, unzip the zip archive you downloaded on your computer. Search the folder named yith_wishlist. Upload this folder to your server via ftp to the   /plugins/ directory on your Wordpress installation. (wp-content > plugins)

Upload via Wordpress admin:

Go to your Wordpress admin, and in the Plugins-panel, choose Add New. Click Upload in the below the title "Install Plugins". Upload the plugin zip.

Activation

Once you have uploaded the plugin, activate your plugin in Plugins > Installed plugins.
This plugin will work only if WooCommerce - excelling eCommerce is installed and active.

Settings

General Settings

In WooCommerce > Settings > YITH WooCommerce Wishlist > General Settings tab you can set the basic settings of the plugin:

  • Set the wishlist title: you can set the title that appear above the wishlist table.
  • Position: set the position of the button "Add to Wishlist" in the single product page.
  • Redirect to cart: you can choose if the user will be redirected to the cart when click on "Add to Cart" in the wishlist page.
  • Remove if in the cart: you can choose if the product has to be removed when added to the cart from the wishlist page.


Styles

In WooCommerce > Settings > YITH WooCommerce Wishlist > Styles you can customize some parts of the plugin.

Choose here if you want to use buttons style or simply text anchor.

Also you can add your custom CSS for more customization. Be careful, your should know CSS language.

Set colors

In WooCommerce > Settings > YITH WooCommerce Wishlist > Styles you can choose if you want to use theme style or plugin style.
If you choose to use theme style, all buttons and tables of the plugin will use the same style of your current active theme.

If you choose to do not use theme style, you can set colors of the buttons and wishlist table.

Socials & Sharing tools

In WooCommerce > Settings > YITH WooCommerce Wishlist > Socials & Share you can set which socials to use in the wishlist page.

Add a Social title so when a user share the wishlist, the social network will know what title to use for its post.

The same is for the description, while the Social image is only used by Facebook and Pinterest.

Localization

This plugin is ready for localization via .po/.mo files.

Change the language of YITH WooCommerce Wishlist Languages for dummies

  1. Check the values of your wp-config, the language of this file must match to your translation;
  2. Find the folder languages of the plugin
  3. Duplicate default.po
  4. Rename your copy of default.po example: yith-wcwl-fr_FR.po for France, yith-wcwl-en_EN.po for English, yith-wcwl-he_HE.po for hebraic, and so on.
  5. Download POEdit
  6. Open your file with the POEdit software
  7. Translate your file (edit catalog properties using POEdit to add your credits)
  8. In File click on Preferences and tick Automatically generate mo
  9. Save your file
  10. Send the new .mo and .po via FTP to your server, in the folder languages of the plugin
  11. Send the new .mo and .po via email to support@yithemes.com so we can improve the quality of the plugin and you can help other users. We will thank you with official credits
